Additional Support for EBS on OCI with Database 19c

Oracle E-Business Suite Releases 12.2 and 12.1.3 are now certified with Oracle Database 19c on key database cloud services.

Whether on-premises or in Oracle Cloud, 19c databases used by Oracle E-Business Suite always use a multitenant architecture with a single pluggable database (single tenant).

Note that the application tier always resides on an OCI Compute virtual machine. 

Be aware that from the point of view of database certification, environments that run solely on Compute without taking advantage of Oracle's database services are equivalent to on-premises environments running on Oracle Linux.

Automation Availability

Oracle E-Business Suite on OCI automation, including the EBS Cloud Manager and the EBS Cloud Backup Module, now supports the following capabilities with Database 19c:
