CALCULATIONS FOR VARIABLE RENT

edited Jun 10, 2014 3:57PM in Fixed Assets - EBS (MOSC)

Hi,

We want to calculate Variable rent on bases of Sales Volume,

The percentage for turnover is calculated differently when the t/over reaches certain amounts i.e :

14% up to 100,000

15% from 100,001 to 200,000

16% from 200,000

Scenario 1:

Sales volume = 150,000

100,000*14%= 14000

50000*15%= 7500

Total variable rent = 21500

Scenario 2:

Sales volume = 150,000

150000*15% = 22500

How can i do in system?

Thanks

Please review the section in the user guide outlining Variable Rent, specifically:

Defining Artificial Breakpoints

Link: Oracle Property Manager User Guide

For scenario 1 above, you would want to use the stratified breakpoint type:

  • Stratified. This breakpoint type has multiple breakpoint details with different volume ranges for the same set of dates. For stratified breakpoints, Oracle Property Manager calculates overage volumes separately for each range and multiplies each volume with the rate associated with that range. The total gross variable rent for the calculation period is the sum of the gross variable rents for all ranges.

Howdy, Stranger!
