Situation

You have a scenario where backdated transactions are giving you a big pain for the reasons such as:

1. People were manipulating the dates after a delay and there are issues in tracing
2. There are issues when the timing of these backdated transactions happened before and after Period Closures or Open
3. Reports were not consistent

There was an argument of blocking the backdated transactions.

On the other hand, there is an argument that backdated transactions be allowed . Because  expecting all users to do the updates in real time is overkill and impractical.
