  1. Better. Oracle wins in terms of total costs of support, Maintenance and Productivity on day to day basis. One survey shows Oracle DBA performs functions 41% less time than the same in SQL Server (11G vs SQL2015)

Opensource version can be download from otn.oracle.com

Platform support

Windows server and Linux (recently added for SQL Server 2017 only)
