Tips & Techniques: Prevent transactions in Inventory Organizations

You come across a situation when you want to prevent transactions in an Organization. For example, during Cycle counting you do not want any transactions to be made in the organization even by mistake.

There are multiple options on how to prevent:

1. Restrict the transactions by Responsibility: For each responsibility define the functions that will not allow transactions.

You can restrict the organization access to the responsibilities to the Organization where the transactions should not be performed.

This option is however quite cumbersome and is error prone if responsibilities are not restricted

2. Keep all Inventory Periods Close. When the periods are not open in the organization, no transactions can happen.
