Wanted to share the real business case when we improved the Value from Oracle EBS offerings.

Problem Statement

Several incremental data load requirement in the project, such as Quotation ,Sourcing  rules and assignments, Forecast were taking long time for user to manually update in oracle EBS. the navigation needed 10,12 steps to reach the right screen and than doing the entries was taking long time.

Approach (SQL Loader)

Originally SQL loader was proposed and tried with below high level approach

  • §Flat file preparation and FTP
  • §SQL loader execution
  • §Control total validation and mail notification
  • §Data validation / actual interface program
