Key WIP parameters and how they control the Value Stream

The entire behaviour of a Module or a Value Stream (Plan to Build, Order to Cash etc) is predominantly governed by combination of Parameters and the Profile Options. It is quite important for the consultant to understand and apply the available Profile options and Parameters to reduce the need of Customization which can happen due to under utilization of these controls.

WIP Parameters available include the below. We however discuss the key Parameters that influence the behaviour.:

WIP Parameters

You can use WIP parameters to define modes of operation and to assign default values for various work in process functions. You can only define one set of WIP parameters per organization. The following summarizes WIP parameters and their defaults:
