Tips & Techniques: Partial Shipment failed

Situation

Customer ordered for a Quantity of 100 to be delivered on a date. On the need by date you have only stock of 60 and customer was fine to have the items partially delivered. However when you tried to do the partial delivery, it failed to split the lines and create a backorder.

Solution

Possible reasons is because the line which you wanted to deliver partially falls in a shipset, along with other lines in a Sales order

Option 1:

Go to Sales order form and query for the order which has the line to be partially shipped
