Linking Projects to Inventory Purchases without enabling Project Manufacturing

Hello - Is there any way we can link project & Task on a Purchase Order for Inventory Item without enabling the Project Manufacturing? And track the items against Project.

I'm not an Inventory expert, but my understanding is that without PJM you can only do this by receiving the goods into inventory and then issuing them to a project.  The inventory cost collector process is then used to interface the costs to PA.

You can add project task related information to Requisition and PO in non Project manufacturing environment also , but Inventory tracking can't be handle via Projects module with out Project manufacturing implementation.
