Issue with Fixed Asset Adjustment changing from Depreciation to Amortization

We need to reduce the cost of an active, depreciating fixed asset, and have future depreciation post based on the new net book value of the asset.

Oracle documentation said that amortized adjustments will do this and spread the remaining value over the remaining life of the asset.

To do this, I entered a credit to the applicable capital project for the amount of the cost adjustment in Oracle Projects.  I then interfaced this credit to fixed assets, and on the Prepare Mass Additions, I selected the cost adjustment, added it to the asset and selected for it to be amortized versus depreciated.  Then I ran Post Mass Additions, and the cost adjustment posted to the applicable asset.  All of the general ledger journal entries are correct and all of the applicable fixed asset reports.  I ran the entire monthly closing process in fixed assets, and everything looks

Howdy, Stranger!
