Tips & Techniques: Address issues of Incorrect calculation of Configured Item lead Time

Situation

The user created an ATO Model which has a base lead time of 2 days.  The Model item has 5 operations each taking 1 day and two of them are optional.

The configured item was created through Progress order from the Sales line containing the ATO Model. The lead time of the Configured item is coming up as 2 days. The user is not convinced on how the lead time is being calculated wrong.
