Tips & Techniques: disable attachment for a responsibility

Problem Statement

You may not want certain responsibilities to open documents attached to specific Document type Say Invoice, Sales Order or such. While there is no direct feature to disable the attachment function there are some workarounds.

Solution

Option 1:

You can disable the function for each document and responsibility combination.

An example for disabling attachment for Invoices as below:

In order to achieve the disabling of the attachment icon please follow the steps below:

1.Login into Responsibility of Application Developer

2. Go to Attachments --> Attachment Functions

3. In Attachment Functions, please select the following :
