MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport) Aircraft fly multiple roles/missions. These roles mainly include:

These Aircraft engines endure varying cyclic stress levels which depends on the type of mission. Hence the Declared Safe Cyclic Lives - DSCL for all life-limited parts (LLPs, these components should be mandatory replaced once they reach their life limits) are calculated based on a factor which relates to the type of mission. The Abbreviated Total Cycles is calculated based on the below formula:
Total Cycles = (βRefueling x No of refueling cycles) + (βTransport x No of transport cycles) + (βTraining x No of training cycles)
