OSA CHAM (Charging and Account Management) Gateway is Deprecated in NCC v5.0.3.0.0
This document announces the discontinuation of the OSA CHAM (Open Systems Architecture Charging and Account Management) Gateway from the Network Charging and Control (NCC) product effective from version 5.0.3.0.0.
The OSA CHAM Gateway functionality is still delivered with NCC version 5.0.2.0.0
The OSA Gateway Client Interface allows proprietary ASPs to utilize the billing, account management, and functionality of the NCC Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS) using the interface defined in the 3GPP OSA/Parlay specifications.
The OSA specifications define an architecture that enables application service providers to make use of network functionality through an open, standardized interface API. The purpose of this interface is to shield the complexity of the network, its protocols, and specific implementations from the client application.
