Issue using Oracle Database 12c as local database with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1

edited May 13, 2015 2:15AM in Install, Upgrades & Change Mgmt - JDE1 (MOSC) 4 comments

Symptoms:

Installed JDE Deployment Server 9.1 on Windows Server 2012 R2 with 12c as local database. But, unable to login into JDEPLAN environment. Getting following error message:

"

Cannot determine database driver name for driver type "E"

"

Cause:

JD Edwards EntepriseOne 9.1 comes with base tools release 9.1.0.1. This does not contain jdboci121.dll in $e910\system\bin32 directory. Because, when tools 9.1.0.1 was released Oracle database 12c was certified with it.

Solution:

Install tools release 9.1.4 or higher, immediately after installing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 Deployment Server Pack. This dll is included in the foundation code starting tools 9.1.4.x. In our case, installed 9.1.5.3 and able to login into JDEPLAN.

Howdy, Stranger!
