Solaris Operating system backups
I am new to the Solaris operating system and would like to know how to backup the operating system. Or if there is an third party vendor that does this.
And what would be the best route to recover the os for an Solaris.
Thanks
Steve
You can use different programs to do this but all depend which file system should saved, if you have open files, if bare metal restore need to be used, An other point is on which support should be the backup saved. How many times do you have to backup and restore the data ?
Here are some examples of commands and third-party programs you can use : ufsdump, zfs, tar, EMC Networker, Symantec NetBackup, Arcadia, and so on.
