How to upgrade the resource type for SUNW.qfs in Sun Cluster

When upgrading SAM-QFS  in a Solaris Cluster Framework, the SUNW.qfs resource type might be included with the new version.

How to register the new RT version in the Solaris Cluster Framework and modify the existing Resource Groups to use the new RT ?

Let's see the procedure in 6 simple  steps

1. Verify which version of the RT is installed :

# scrgadm -pv

Look for the 'SUNW.qfs' RT . If the correct RT is already installed , (ex . if upgrading a version 5.x and the RT "SUNW.qfs:5" is already registered) , you don't need to do anything

2) offline resource group

# clrg offline QFS-MDS

# clrg unmanage QFS-MDS
