On the design in E1 9.1 I have a concern. When I try to edit the concatenate function in fat client using EWR I dont see extra quotes like ' or ". When I go to expression manages it suppresses the original quotes. Even if I click Ok without any change it errors out stating undefined string. Now I am not able to make any change unless I see the values without suppression.

What is your tools release?

We had some issue with quotes in expression manager as reported and fixed (in 9.1.4 TR) in:
