Getting started with custom FDMEE scripting

I receive many SRs involving custom scripting questions/issues in FDMEE; however, custom scripting is not covered under EPM support, and policy prohibits Oracle EPM Engineers from providing assistance with these matters. Consequently, I recommend anyone needing assistance with these matters to ask here in the Hyperion FDM/FDMEE (MOSC) forums because there are many knowledgeable folks out there that can provide valuable feedback, or seek guidance from an Oracle Consultant.

With that being said, I am going to offer some basic information on how to get started in Scripting for FDMEE. First off, the FDMEE Administrator’s Guide is your friend. Sure it may read like a user’s manual, but that is what it is. Start off by
