There are instances when some operations of the Discrete Job are outsourced to 3rd party and once the operations are completed, the semi-finished item comes back to your shop floor.

In Oracle this outsourced operation are handled through Procurement in the form of Outside Processing PO.

While WIP job is on hold till the outside processed PO is yet to be returned for any expediting activities, you will want to know the PO number corresponding to that OSP PO. In Oracle EBS it is not that straight forward even though you want to know the PO number from the Operation lines itself.
