Surcharges in Purchase Orders

Goal:

Lately changing business needs are demanding for much better pricing capabilities when raising any purchase orders with suppliers like surcharges. So Oracle has capabilities to leverage Oracle Advanced Pricing in conjunction with Oracle Purchasing.

Solution:

Firstly we need to license/enable the Advanced Pricing with Purchasing module. This can be done with a simple profile option set up "QP: Licensed for Product". This can be set up at the Site level or the application level(Purchasing). Once the profile is set, the next task is to create the Surcharge Modifier utilizing the Modifiers screen available under Oracle Pricing Manager responsibility.
