how to check permission in webcenter portal?

Hello All,

When I click a link for a page or portal in WebCenter Portal, internally does WebCenter Portal check the policy store and identity store?

For example, If identity store is LDAP like ODSEE and policy store is oracle DB...

After logging on WebCenter Portal, when I click a page link in navigation menu. I want to know whether queries for LDAP and DB are happened or not?

Please let me know in detail.
