December 2018 OCI Updates (EBS Cloud Manager Enhancements)

We are pleased to announce availability of Release 18.4.1 of our EBS cloud automation for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). All customers running EBS on OCI are encouraged to obtain this release and take advantage of key new capabilities and fixes.

Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager Updates

This latest release of Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager includes these new features:

  • Create Backup - You can create a backup of any Oracle E-Business Suite environment that includes Oracle Database 11.2.0.4. (You can later provision from this backup using the Advanced Provisioning feature, if desired.)
  • Automated Enablement of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) - Source databases that are not already TDE-enabled will automatically be TDE-enabled during Advanced Provisioning, if the database target is an Oracle Database cloud service. For source databases that are already TDE-enabled, TDE is preserved during either a lift and shift or
