As part of our upgrade of CS to 9.2 we are seeing similar advice around tables that can be truncated, however, as per PeopleBooks CS 9.2.003 Student Financials chapter "Entering and Reviewing Valid ChartField Combinations" it still shows as a table used for providing GL chartfields from FSCM via Integration Broker:

There are three ways to enter valid combination codes into the Valid Combination table. The method you use depends primarily on which General Ledger (GL) system and version you use.

    Importing from the Financials Database

If you integrate with PeopleSoft Financials 8.0 or later, you can import the valid ChartField combinations from the Financials database and keep them up-to-date using Integration Broker.

To import valid combinations from Financials:

    1. Publish combination data information from Financials (FSCM) to CS using the HR_ACCT_CD_LOAD Integration Broker service operation. When CS receives this service operation, the handler arranges the data in the correct layout and populates the GL_ACCT_CD_TBL.
    2. Run the Load Combination Code SQR process (BUD003) to populate the Valid Combination table.

If we clear down the GL_ACCT_CD_TBL and other similar CF tables from CS how will we ensure we have effective dated chartfields available for item types for transactions to be sent back to FSCM via SF_ACCTG_LN via Integration Broker.

As an organisation we also send program_cd data as this is used in association with Department ID.

Is there a different IB message we should use going forward to send CF data from FSCM 9.2 to CS 9.2?

    Thanks

Hello Colin.  Thank you for your post to the Campus Solutions Community.

Campus Solutions 9.2 will support the same delivered integrations  with PeopleSoft Financials it has historically.

The same service operations used to import chartfield data from PeopleSoft Financials to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0 are delivered and supported on Campus Solutions 9.2.  The process has not changed.  PeopleSoft Financials is considered the source of all chartfield data.  By using the delivered service operations, Campus Solutions will have current chartfield values for use.

The process outlined above for the Combo Edit data is valid for Campus Solutions 9.2. The same service operation will be used to load the combo edit data from Financials.  The BUD003.sqr is located at Set Up Common Objects, Common Definitions, Chartfield Configuration, Load Combination Code Table.

Please note the setup tables at Set Up Common Objects, Common Definitions, Chartfield Configuration, Chartfield Values currently allow for Add access to the chartfield setup page.  For Campus Solutions purposes, this is incorrect and has been reported to development via Bug 24711879 : CHANGE ACCESS TO CHARTFIELD VALUES PAGE.

    Thanks Colin.
