ANNOUNCEMENT 2: JRE 1.7.0_201 Certified for Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 & 12.1

JRE 1.7.0_201 build 11 (7u201-b11) and later updates are certified as desktop client JRE Plug-ins for Oracle E-Business Suite R12.

JRE 1.7.0_201 (32-bit) is certified as a desktop client JRE Plug-in for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and 12.1 on the following Windows operating systems:

• Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)  
• Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)

• Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
• Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit)

Java Deployment Technology (Important Change)

Since JRE 7u161 the Java deployment technology is no longer available in JRE 7.

What does this mean to users?

• With only JRE 1.7.0_201 installed on the desktop you will no longer be able to launch Java and therefore be unable to run any Java content.
