ANNOUNCEMENT 1: JRE 1.8.0_251 Certified for Oracle E-Business Suite

Announcement:

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 & 12.1

JRE 1.8.0_251 (8u251) Critical Patch Update (CPU) is certified and recommended as a desktop client JRE release for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 as outlined below.
 

JRE 8u251 (32-bit) is certified as desktop client JRE releases with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 and 12.1 for the following Windows versions:

  • Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)

JRE 8u251 (64-bit) is certified as desktop client JRE releases with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 and 12.1 for the following Windows versions:

  • Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Further Information

  • For further information regarding enhancements and other changes see the JDK 8 Release Notes.
  • If you are running on the JRE 8 stream, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to this latest and therefore most secure Critical Patch Update (CPU) release of the JRE 8 Plug-in.
