Make sure you have enough /boot space on each node before update --INFRA to OL6 (12.1.2.6)

When We have seen a few SRs very recently after 12.1.2.6 INFRA PATCHING where a node will get caught in reboot loops:

MAKE SURE you have enough space in /boot before patching!!

Recommendation for X5-2 is to have 300M, but I have seen as little as having 40M free on V1 work o

V1

[root@myoda ~]# df -k

Filesystem                                               1K-blocks      Used      Available    Use% Mounted on

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

/dev/mapper/VolGroupSys-LogVolRoot  30472188   3941860    24957464    14%        /

/dev/md0                                                     101018       56152          39650     59%      /boot

Some simple suggestions to free up space in /boot

- remove older images

- remove duplicates of any images (as long as you retain a few of the newest versions)
