Understanding IFRS16 Lease Details report- Focus on Oracle E- Business Suite’s Property Manager- Per

1. Objective

The main aim of this document is to make the user understand how to interpret the ‘Lease Details’ report generated from Oracle’s E Business Suite (EBS) Property Manager module for a lease enabled for IFRS16 compliant accounting. The case discussed here considers that the lease accounting compliance is setup for following:

GAAP Regime: IFRS16

Calculation Frequency: Periodical Amortization

Interest Method: Linear Compound Interest

2. Background

As a part of new IFRS accounting standards, businesses around the world have already adopted/ transitioning to adopt IFRS16 compliant accounting for leases for both property and equipment. New accounting standards require the business to report the following transactions-
