Oracle Application Management Suite provides automated patch management both for patches delivered by Oracle and for custom patches. You can patch Oracle E-Business Suite environments on Oracle Cloud or on-premises, and promote patches seamlessly across multiple Oracle E-Business Suite environments. You can also deploy patches using Oracle Enterprise Command Line Interface (EMCLI), which allows you to extend patch management with custom deployment procedures.

Automated patch management simplifies the online patching process for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2, by enabling you to complete all phases of online patching through a UI-driven interview process rather than from the command line. You can also view worker logs directly from the user interface.
