11.2 Removing an instance not working? 'ConfigTool.bat - remove' doesn't seem to do anything

Due to a failed attempt at configuring 11.2 EPM, it was recommended that I remove the instance completely and do the configuration all over again. To remove the instance, I am attempting to use the ConfigTool.bat -remove option. However, when I run it, it hangs at "Removing Web Applications - Done." for hours:

However, it looks like it hasn't done anything. The services are still there:

...the epmsystem1 folder is still there:

...and the Config Utility still shows everything as being configured and deployed successfully:


What am I missing or doing wrong to completely remove the instance?
