Oracle does not allocate more memory to SGA.

Hi all,

The database version is 11.2.0.4.0, running on AIX 64bit, and used AMM with MEMORY_TARGET = 430GB.

I checked AWR reports and saw the used SGA is about 152GB, I wonder why oracle did not allocate more memory to SGA. From the SGA Target Advisory, if the size of SGA is 250GB then Physical read will decrease to a 1/2.


Do you have any ideas about this?
