How to patch database in an ODA upgrade

Hi,

I'm a bit confused regarding patching of ODA and hope to get an answer on the database home part of patching.

I will patch the current ODA 18.8 up to 19.8 via the steps: 18.3 -> 18.8 -> 19.6 -> 19.8, I have a database home which is in version 12.1.0.2.0 and no plan as of now to get to any higher version. Now as I have a phys. standby I want to wait with the database patching until both my servers have the latest SW.

Now, my question is: When I'm on 19.8, can I patch oracle home and database with the 19.8 patch for version 12.1 to get it to 12.1.0.2.200714 direct, or do I have toI patch the database home and db in three steps? Like the steps for patching the ODA itself.
