Does Oracle EBS 12.2.X middleware tier support JDK 8?

Our current version is 12.1.3 with JDK 7 and would like to know if JDK 8 is supported for 12.2.9 once we upgrade the application. Certification matrix only lists JDK 7 support for even 12.2.9. Does that mean we cannot upgrade JDK 8 for even 12.2.X versions?


Anything below JDK 8 is listed as vulnerability in our organization. So would like to know the possibility of upgrading JDK to version 8.
