Information is disappearing when we click on the record of child block.

In Oracle Form, we have 2 different blocks which have Master-Detail relationship. When we do Retrieve, the information is displaying in the corresponding blocks. But when we click on any record of child block, information is disappearing.

NOTE: We do have buttons for Search and Retrieve. When we search, the mode of the block is Query and while retrieving it will be set to Update/Insert. But currently, its not happening as expected. Whether I'm clicking on search or Retrieve, the block mode is always in Query Mode.
