Create EBS R12,2 Physical Standby Database with Different SID

Hi,

I have checked EBS R12.2 Biz Continuity Note:

Business Continuity for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 Using Oracle 12c (12.1.0.2) Physical Standby Database (Doc ID 1963472.1).

It Says, Note: The database SID must be the same on both the primary and physical standby databases, whereas the DB_UNIQUE_NAME is different on the primary and physical standby database.

However for Non EBS Cases having different SID between Primary and Standby is supported and well known as well: e.g. Creating a Physical Standby using RMAN Duplicate (RAC or Non-RAC) (Doc ID 1617946.1).


We would like to have same configuration for EBS too. Having different SID helps in having different file level configurations between PROD and DR site and clears confusion. Can anyone shares any practical experiences on this who has implemented similar configurations and Steps/Notes/Additional Considerations for EBS for Autoconfig and Applications.
