Moving a managed home from one Managemetn Console to another

Hi Guys,

I have a primary server manager management console that hosts all JDE web/ent/rte/bssv instances and everything is working well.

We want to segregate non-prod instances from Prod instances using a secondary management console. So after the segregation we should be able to see non-prod JDE instances on newly create SMC console and leftover managed homes on existing console as it is currently set up

I have already installed a new SMC console on a separate server and I can login to it.

***My question is, rather than recreating managed instances on new console from scratch, is there an easy way to just change parameter values in exsiting SM_Agents on various JDE servers so that non prod servers start to appear under new management console? For instance for example if for a JDE non-prod enterprise server, If i modify server manager agent.properties to change the machine name from existing SM_console machine to new SM_Console machine, Will it be a step in right direction?
