APEX 20.1 throws JSON.parse Error Invalid Character after applying patch 30990551

Hello,

We are running APEX 20.1 in an Oracle 12.1 Database using the PL/SQL Gateway for now. We are using the faceted search component. In 20.1 without any patch installed for APEX this works fine. After applying patch 30990551 (both September version as well the latest one from My Oracle Support) the application throws following error

The faceted search is defined as a checkbox and of type "Distinct Values". The database column is a VARCHAR2 column of a normal table. After tracing the traffic of the request we see that there is a strange character in the request "0190" and some empty lines like:
