Need to stop invoicing the contracts for initial few months from Service start date

We have a requirement from Client which says we need to provide few free months to customer on certain scenarios. Lets say the customer is opting for a service duration of 3 yrs. We are providing one year free service to the customer. So even though the contract duration shows 3 years, the total amount will be showing the amount for 2 years only. And the invoicing will start from second year only. 

Please let me know how to achieve this by using standard service contract functionality.
