Solaris 10 kernel patch 153153-01 is for "global zone" only
I have a Solaris 10 host with a two Solaris 10 zones. I went out and downloaded the patches released earlier this month and loaded them. After loading 153153-01, one of my zones would not boot correctly (came up in single user mode) so I asked it to back out 153153-01 on that zone only. patchrm spit out a message that "Patch 153153-01 is for global zone only and can not be removed from this zone"./ So I backed out 153153-01 from the global zone and all appears OK.
My question is how was I supposed to know to only install 153153-01 on the global zone? I found nothing in the READ.ME or release notes. Or perhaps there is a bug in the 153153-01 patch that patchadd should know to only install it on a global zone?
