How to select Supply Subinventory when multiple choices are available?

We have a new business requirement where an Assembly can built in different clean rooms within the same organization. The two clean rooms have separate Shop Floor subinventories: WIP-A and WIP-B. If the same assembly can be built in both clean rooms, we cannot default the Supply Subinventory for the BOM components since the components can be supplied from either WIP-A or WIP-B. The Shop Floor/Supply Subinventory would depend on which clean room the Work Order is dispatched to. How can we auto-populate the Supply Subinventory in this scenario?

Has anyone ever had this issue and been able to find a workaround?
