Configured HUB - Is there a way to add a validation for determining Intercompany Transactions?

Utilizing the Configured HUB setup for intercompany settlements, I would like a method for determining if a transaction violates that intercompany setup PRIOR to the posting program running and erroring out. We have a lot of batches to fix because our users are not cognizant of crossing HUBs when they enter payables and cut checks. Perhaps you've built a UDO checklist or some other functionality that would make users more aware of crossing HUB boundaries? Any suggestions on how to detect intercompany activity before running the posting program would be greatly appreciated. Currently Oracle has no intentions of
