12.1.0.2 Linux - Rman Catalog Upgrade - ORA-01791: not a SELECTed expression - Invalid Objects

I worked with Oracle Support on this issue.

Oracle Support is aware of the issue and I hope Oracle Development will release a patch for this issue with the 12.1.0.2 Pathset 20-OCT-2020.

I am posting this discussion for the community to be aware of the problem.

--Oracle Linux 7.8 x64

--Oracle Database 12.1.0.2.201020 (20-OCT-2020)

I have installed the PatchSet 31550110 20-OCT-2020 in the DB_HOME and executed datapatch.

I upgraded the rman recovery catalog and it failed.

/*

$ rman catalog rman_mcs7/'****'@rcat

RMAN> upgrade catalog;

RMAN> upgrade catalog;

RMAN-06444: error creating upgcat_fix_plugin_scn_in_ts_and_tsatt
