Can CAM's Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) operate with manual data entry.

I have received a request for CBM to generate PMs for maintenance equipment. We are using JDE Enterprise1 version 9.2+. In my attempt to understand the setup and functionality the system seems to only operate using interoperability.

My desire is to set the parameters in JDE and enter data changes into JDE. Over time the system with determine if a warning or an alert should be processed. My understanding is that CBM need an external source of data to message JDE.

My question is; can CBM operate using a manual data entry instead of an external system?
