Disk group created after initial RAC installation, not mounted automatically on CRS/ASM restart.

We have a three node 10.2.0.5 RAC installation (Oracle Linux 5.10 x86_64), where we had initially created 2 ASM Diskgroups. After that, a third ASM Disk Group was created. This third Disk Group doesn't mount automatically on CRS/ASM restart. No error is produced. It just doesn't mount. A look at the ASM startup alert shows that this third ASM_DISKGROUP is missing from ASM_DISKGROUPS parameter and although this is added after the manual mount of the disk group, the same problematic behavior is seen after CRS/ASM reboot.
