ELM - Mandatory Learning attempting to enroll learner groups that are no longer setup as mandatory

I created a class and added a learner group to the mandatory learning setup. The ML enrolment ran, and enrolled all of the learners. A few days later, I deleted the LG from the ML setup. I am noticing now, that everytime the ML enrollment runs, it is trying to re-enroll the leaners from the LG that no longer exist on the ML setup. I can see in LM_ML_ENRL_STG that the message for all of the learners is "Not enrolled as class is overdue". 

Curious if anyone else has experienced this, or if I have done some setup incorrectly.
