A weblogic domain can be extended using machines with different operating systems?

I would like to know if a weblogic domain can be extended using machines with a different OS.


In particular, I have Oracle Webcenter Content 12..2.1.3 installed in a weblogic domain on two machines with Sparc Solaris OS and I want to extend the domain using another machine with Oracle Linux OS.

Logically, the version of Webcenter Content and weblogic will be the same that I already have installed.


I have not seen anywhere that the operating system has to be the same. Although I have seen that to create a cluster the version of weblogic must be the same.
