DBSNMP blocking sessions on RAC
Hi there
We have a Cloud Control 13c setup, one of the targets is a 2-node RAC database. This database is exhibiting strange behaviour - there are many blocking sessions created by the DBSNMP user. There seems to be no performance impact on the database (or in the application using it), however the logs for the application show many errors like:
"Could not update last login date, but proceeding with login.
org.hibernate.StaleObjectStateException: Row was updated or deleted by another transaction (or unsaved-value mapping was incorrect)"
Killing any of these sessions simply results in another being spawned immediately.
EMGC is the only thing using this account on the database, and no plugins are used on the management agent. There is also an EBS cluster on the same hosts but it does not have this issue. Our setup is as follows:
