New NYS Paid Sick Leave Law FAQ - Weighted Rate for multiple jobs

NYS has a new Paid Sick Leave law. (NOTE: This is not Paid Family Leave. This is Paid Sick Leave). For us, who have over 100+ employees, Employees are given up 56 hours of paid sick leave per calendar year. In the FAQs, under the “RATE OF PAY” section, there is this question, “WHAT IF AN EMPLOYEE IS PAID AT DIFFERENT RATES FOR DIFFERENT TASKS?”. We are confused by the answer as it speaks to “weighted average of those rates” and “worked hours” in a Sick law and was wondering if you could clarify. The FAQ says this: “Employees who are paid
