How to default subinventory in Shipping transaction

We create internal sales orders using Order Import. After the order import when i go into Shipping transaction the subinventory is filled in, from what setup does the system get this information. The subinventory filled in here is not specified in Shipping parameters.

After import we run 'Release Sales Order' and the release sales order does not adjust the subinventory in shipping transaction. So how can i automatically fill/adjust the shipping transation subinventory before submitting 'Release Sales Order' or default it based on 'Release Sales Order'.
