pam_unix(sshd:auth): authentication failure (using NIS) - Oracle Linux 7.8

Hi All - I have an irritating problem. I get the above showing up in the /var/log/secure file when trying to login to a new OL7.8 machine I am building. It is an NIS client and I set up NIS for it like I have with other OL7.5 etc machines. The local test logins work fine, but trying to login as an NIS user I get "Permission denied, please try again". Also in the /var/log/secure file, I get:

hostname sshd[XXX]: Failed password for "user" from "IP" port "port" ssh2

I even have a newly installed OL8.2 machine and it takes NIS user logins fine.
